What do Ian Hunter, Robert Plant & Ryan Adams have in common? They came to the Beacon Theater to play at a benefit for Arthur Lee, the founder of the ’60’s band “Love”.

Gavin DeGraw played Sam Cooke’s “A Change Is Gonna Come”.

Ryan Adams was great with his band the Cardinals.

Nils Lofgren did a lively set including Bruce Springsteen’s “Because the Night”.

Ian Hunter showed he was in fine form.

Garland Jeffreys got the crowd going with his hit "Wild in the Streets" and an acapella version of “My Little Red Book”.

Johnny Echols, an original member of Love, played with Robert Plant.

Everyone jumped out of their seats when Ian Hunter joined Robert Plant on Buffalo Springfield’s “For What It’s Worth” at the end of the show.

Robert Plant was the star of the night, playing “Ramble On” from Led Zeppelin II.

The benefit was organized by promoter Steve Weitzman, Arthur Lee's manager Mark Linn & Alicia Gelernt of Noble Music.
