It’s been quite a summer and fall. I travelled to Iceland to see Yoko Ono, and London, France, Crete and of course around New York to see great Rock & Roll.
June 17 – NYC – Jesse Malin rocked the City Winery with a great show of his classic original songs.
June 20 – NYC – Ron Delsener on stage in Central Park during the gala honoring him for his long career as the foremost promoter of music concerts on the East Coast.
July 5 – London – I gave a talk at the British Library as a part of their celebration of the 40th anniversary of Punk. My topic was the Sex Pistols 1978 bus tour across the US and I was joined by John ‘Boogie’ Tiberi, the Pistols Tour manager and US Southern music scholar Brian Ward.
July 11 – Paris – Walking in Paris we stopped to see Serge Gainsbourg’s house covered in graffiti by his fans.
July 14 – Brittany – The Kills on stage during the Vieilles Charrues Festival in Brittany, France.
July 16 – Brittany – The Libertines reunion show at the Vieilles Charrues Festival in Brittany, France.
July 22 – Crete – The Barb Wire Dolls were our hosts in Crete and threw a party for us there at the Icarus Art Commune.
July 30 – NYC – Tammy Faye Starlight channelled Nico during the Lou Reed Tribute at Lincoln Center.

July 30 – NYC – D-Generation played several reunion dates to promote their new album ‘Nothing Is Anywhere’ and I found them backstage at Irving Plaza.
Aug 30 – NYC – Yoko Ono joined her son Sean and Les Claypool on stage at Irving Plaza, and blew the house away with her signature vocal style.
Sept 2 – Woodstock – Jakob Dylan and the Wallflowers played at Bearsville Theater. People expected he would have old friends there but Jakob said he actually grew up in New York and Los Angeles.
Sept 8 – NYC – On stage at the City Winery Peter Wolf showed that he was the most authentic singer around. Check out his new album ‘A Cure for Loneliness’.
Sept 12 – NYC – Fab 5 Freddy was one of the featured DJs at Roxy Hotel’s The Django club where Steve Mass hosted a party for the alumni of his Mudd Club, the late night place to be in the ’80’s.
Sept 15 – NYC – Giuli Cordara of the Time Shrine Foundation and artist Anne de Carbuccia in front of the “One Planet One Future” exhibit at the Westbeth Building.
Sept 22 – NYC – Shep Gordon during the release of his new autobiography book “They Call Me Supermensch” at the 92nd Street Y.
Sept 28 – Sayreville – Green Day are back and Billie Joe Armstrong was great on stage at the Starland Ballroom.
Oct 9 – Reykjavik – Sean Lennon, Yoko Ono and Reykjavik mayor Dagur Bergþóruson Eggertsson during the Peace Tower lighting in Iceland.
