March 20 – Buenos Aires – I started Spring with an exhibit at the Centro Metropolitano de Diseño, in Buenos Aires, Argentina…. there were also exhibits of my photos in Cordoba and Mar del Plata.
March 23 – Buenos Aires – While in Buenos Aires we had a great meeting with Charly García at the Faena Hotel. Charly is the most famous musician in Argentina and we had a really fun time together.
April 3 – NYC – Chrissie Hynde brought the Pretenders to Terminal 5 to show the fans how to Rock & Roll.
April 7 – NYC – Artist Nikki Kine showed her iPhone photo work at the Mason Gallery.
April 13 – Philadelphia – A highlight of the opening of my well designed exhibit at the Pearlstein Gallery at Drexel University was a visit from the legendary DJ Jerry Blavat – ‘The Geator with the Heater, The Boss with the Hot Sauce!’
April 26 – NYC – Jean-Luc Le Du and I gave a “Rock & Roll Wine Tasting” event at Brasserie 8 1/2. I talk about a photo of a musician and Jean-Luc explains what is the best wine to drink listening to that artist and why.
May 2 – NYC – Andy Shernoff and Lenny Kaye joined Philippe Marcade on stage at La Poisson Rouge to celebrate Philippe’s new book “Punk Avenue – Inside the New York Underground 1972-1982”.
May 2 – NYC – Ryan Adams brought his band to the Beacon Theatre for a great rocking night.
May 3 – Philadelphia – TV news personality Rona Elliot led a discussion about my work and later posed for a photo next to me with Orlando Pelliccia, Karen Curry, Leah Appleton and Felicia Knise in front of the wall of contact prints at my exhibit at the Pearlstein Gallery at Drexel University.
May 4 – NYC – Jason Newstead (formerly of Metallica) came to exhibit his paintings at the Art New York fair and played a secret show with a band at McKittrick Hotel.
May 6 – NYC – Nick Korniloff, Bob Gruen, Melissa Marr and Gary Lichtenstein during the Perry J. Cohen Foundation benefit at Art New York on Pier 94 where we showed the silkscreen prints of my work that Gary made.
May 6 – NYC – Bob Gruen and Jason Newsted doing a talk together during Art New York at Pier 94. He asked some very interesting questions and we had a good time.
May 7 – NYC – Jenni Muldaur and her band on stage at City Winery for a rare solo show by Jenni…. she’s usually a background singer but on this night she was front and center.
May 16 – NYC – The best drummers in punk rock, Clem Burke of Blondie and Marky Ramone of the Ramones during Mick Rock’s “As If” magazine party at the Roxy Hotel.
May 24 – NYC – Brittany Howard of the Alabama Shakes during a Sailor Jerry party for Fleet Week on stage at the Intrepid Air and Space Museum.
June 30 – London – Alice Cooper presenting the “Raymond Weil International Award” to Niles Rodgers during the Nordoff-Robbins charity awards luncheon at the Grosvenor House Hotel.
June 30 – London – Clem Burke, Debbie Harry and Chris Stein of Blondie received the “Amazon Outstanding Achievement Award” presented by Nile Rodgers (on the right) at the Nordoff-Robbins charity luncheon at the Grosvenor House Hotel.
July 1 – London – Green Day brought their high energy to the stage for the the British Summer Time Festival with over 60,000 happy people in Hyde Park.
