May 8 - NYC - Malcolm McLaren was the DJ at artist Tom Sachs' party at Lever House on Park Avenue. Malcolm recently unveiled his new series of very sexy videos on the big VH1 screen in Times Square.
May 13 - Chicago - Karim Rashid, Massimo Vignelli & Bob Gruen were among the featured speakers at the Gravity Free convention in Chicago, an amazing meeting of designers held at the Chicago Museum of Science and Industry.
May 21 - Mexico City - Jorge Gutierrez, director of the Auditorio Nacional in Mexico City cuts the ribbon with Bob Gruen to open the exhibition of Bob's photos there. The exhibit will move to University of the State of Nuevo Leon in Monterrey, Mexico in the fall.
The Auditorio Nacional in Mexico City is a large 10,000 seat music theater in the center of town where big shows are held several times a week so thousands of people got to see Bob Gruen's exhibit.
June 7 - Gainesville, FL - Bo Diddley's Funeral in Gainesville, Florida was a very spiritual sendoff. Local leaders spoke of how much Bo had given to the community and a letter was received from Bill Clinton praising Bo.
June 9 - NYC - Guitar legend Les Paul turned 93 this year with a big smile and a great show at his regular venue, the Iridium Jazz Club.
June 10 - NYC - Jakob Dylan at the Blender Theater played songs from his great new album 'Seeing Things'.
June 11 - NYC - Alison Krauss & Robert Plant's amazing album, 'Rising Sand' produced by T-Bone Burnett, was presented live at the WaMu Theater. The show was flawless!
June 12 - NYC - While Robert Plant was in New York he stopped by Bob Gruen's 'Rockers' exhibition at the Morrison Hotel Gallery on the Bowery, and posed for a photo with Bob.
June 18 - Farmingville, NY - Goon Squad was the opening band when Blondie played on Long Island in June. With their looney look and poppy sounding music they were very entertaining. The New York Dolls were also supposed to play but rain forced their set to be cancelled.

June 24 - NYC - Bob Gruen gave a talk at his 'Rockers' exhibition in the Morrison Hotel Gallery on the Bowery. The talk was a benefit for the VH1 charity 'Save the Music'.
