What a great few months, with Jesse Malin, Foxboro Hot Tubs, Courtney Love, Rolling Stones, Green Day, Lady Gaga and more!
April 14 - NYC - John Varvatos and I were the guest DJ's at the party Jesse Malin had for his new CD "Love It To Life" at Black & White on 10th Street.
April 23 & 25 - NYC - Green Day's alter ego band, the Foxboro Hottubs Played at Don Hill's Club and the Bowery Electric and they put on the wildest and best punk band show in years. click here for more.
April 27 - NYC - Courtney Love with her band in the calm before her show at Terminal 5. She looks pretty relaxed but onstage she is non-stop energy and very in touch with her fans.
I went to Courtney's afterparty at the Standard Hotel and looking out the window it seemed that Courtney had parked her flying saucer outside, but it was only the reflection of the chandelier over the bar.
April 28 - NYC - Sean Lennon and his girlfriend Charlotte Kemp Muhl play at the benefit for Bent on Learning at the Puck building.
May 11 - NYC - Mick Jagger, Keith Richards & Charlie Watts were on hand at the Museum of Modern Art to introduce the DVD of the making of 'Exile On Main Street'.
May 13 - NYC - Sting, Debbie Harry, Lady Gaga, Elton John, Shirley Bassey & Bruce Springsteen played a benefit for the Rainforest Fund at Carnegie Hall.
May 19 - NYC - Jesse Malin & the St Marks Social play hard and fast for the Joey Ramone Birthday Bash benefit for Lukemia research at Irving Plaza.
June 3 - London - I set up an exhibit of a 'Teenage Bedroom' at the Subway Gallery in London. It was a re-creation of a bedroom completely covered with published photos of mine. check out the video
At the Subway Gallery opening I welcomed my friends John Tiberi (known as 'Boogie' he was the Sex Pistols road manager) and Don Letts with his brother Desmond.
June 7 - NYC - I did a photo session with the Wailers in Central Park when they came to New York to play in Times Square for the Earth Day celebration.
June 8 - NYC - I also had a photo session in my West Village neighborhood with Ernie and the Automatics, a new band from Boston.
June 19 - London - I was back in London with Green Day as they played to a sold out Wembley Stadium. check out photos of Green Day in Europe
I was very happy to see Joan Jett open the show at Wembley and hanging out backstage with Green Day.
June 22 - Dublin - Beach Boy Bruce Johnson met members Green Day in the lobby of the hotel in Dublin. Above: Jason White, Bruce, Trey Cool, Mike Dirnt and Chris Dugan.
Blondie played in Dublin on a night when Green Day was off so we got to see their great show.
June 30 - NYC - At Alejandro Escovedo's City Winery show producer Tony Visconti joined the band for a few songs.
July 6 - NYC - New York promoter extraordinaire Ron Delsener always looks so cool, here at Madison Square Garden for the Lady Gaga show he produced.
Semi Precious Weapons opened for Lady GaGa at Madison Square Garden.
Lady GaGa at Madison Square Garden had the crowd cheering for more as she showed off her crazy clothes.
July 13 - NYC - Squeeze, on tour with Cheap Trick, were great at Radio City Music Hall.
Cheap Trick showed they can still pull out all their tricks for the fans at Radio City Music Hall.
July 14 - NYC - Joe Jackson played what was called "the mellowest show ever' at Madison Square Garden. I was happy to see my old friend Merlo, who plays the bass and produces their records, doing so well.
July 22 - NYC - Jim Jones brought his revue to the Mercury Lounge and gave us a great dose of real old rockin' Rock and Roll!
July 28 - NYC - Dan Reed at the Bitter End was very cool.
Aug 4 - NYC - The Dead Weather played a secret show at Don Hill's club for less than 200 people the night after playing for 20,000 in a park in Brooklyn.
August 14 – Holmdel, NJ - Supla & Jesse Malin posed for a photo with me after the Green Day show in New Jersey.
August 23 - NYC - Ozzy Osbourne, at the Imagine circle in Central Park, filmed a video tribute to John Lennon to go with his recording of Lennon's song 'How'.
